Some domestic wastewater projects utilizing Biodyne's products.

Municipal Wastewater Collection Pumping Station
This lift station had approximately 25,000 gallons/day of flow.  It was just downstream from two popular restaurants which put a lot of grease into the collection system.  The accumulating grease caused float fouling and some odor.   Frequent clean out was required to maintain the station. Hard grease in lift station before inoculation
The microbes were introduced into the lift station using a pump in volumes sufficient to deliver no less than 100,000 cfu/ml of flow.  The inoculum was added as a one or two week feed.  Suspended bags utilizing peristaltic pumps can also be used to feed the inoculum. The grease accumulation was softened and decreased over time.   Regular inoculation at the lift station reduced the need for routine clean out and also assisted in odor reduction. Soft grease a few days after treatment
Municipal Wastewater Collection Pumping Station
This lift station has approximately 1,000,000 gallons/day of flow.  Prior to inoculation, it had a three foot grease blanket.  Besides odor problems, the accumulating grease contributed to operational problems at the treatment plant.   Frequent clean out was required to maintain the station.

Very large municipal lift station with a 3' grease blanket

The microbes were introduced into the lift station using a battery operated pump in volumes sufficient to deliver no less than 100,000 cfu/ml of flow.  The grease accumulation was softened and decreased to about 3 inches over 30 days.   Regular inoculation at the lift station reduced the need for routine clean out and also assisted in odor reduction. Grease blanket reduced to 3" in 30 days
