Here are a few oilfield bioremediation projects utilizing Biodyne's products and services.

Oilfield Wellhead Soil Treatment

This project involved an oilfield tank battery site.  Tanks were removed and approximately 1000 gallons of heavy crude oil were spilled on the ground.

The microbes were grown off-site and transported to the site in volumes sufficient to deliver no less than 100,000 cfu/gram of soil.  The inoculum and mineral nutrients were added to a truck mounted tank and sprayed onto the soil.

The soil was mixed and aerated with a tiller.  After a little more than 3 months, soil samples met environmental requirements.

Down-hole Oil Well Paraffin Treatment

This project involves treating oil wells with microbes and mineral nutrients to control the buildup of paraffin.  This results in less maintenance utilizing costly and time-consuming traditional methods of removing paraffin while at the same time allowing potential increases in pumping volume.

The microbes are grown off-site and transported to the site.  The inoculum and mineral nutrients are added to a truck mounted tank and delivered into the well via the casing.  Regular treatment has proven cost effective in reducing paraffin related problems and is often accompanied by increased output.
