The biological treatment of wastewater utilizes a variety of techniques to create optimal environmental conditions for the removal of organic matter using microorganisms. Wastewater can be composed of: sewerage from homes; water generated washing equipment and floors at a citrus processor; water generated while washing school buses, trucks or heavy equipment; or a myriad of other similar examples. Basically any wastewater that packs an environmental impact needs to be treated before release. For more information on WW treatment, see the WW paper. |
