Soil Bioremediation |
| Soil bioremediation may follow two paths. The first, excavation and treatment outside of the original location, is referred to as ex situ (from place) treatment and may be accomplished in several ways depending on space, equipment and financial considerations. The second soil treatment method, in situ (in place), refers to treating the contaminated soil "as is", that is, without excavation. |

Our Experience |
 |
| Biodyne® has been involved in a large number of soil bioremediation projects (especially petroleum hydrocarbons) involving ex situ, in situ and combined techniques. Inoculation with the ENVIRONOC® blend has proven both beneficial and economical in these projects. |
The Result |
The end result of all of these projects has been to reduce the contaminating material to levels acceptable to the governing regulatory agency. Over time, the contaminating material is converted to innocuous carbon dioxide and water, thereby returning the soil to "clean" standards. For more information, see the bioremediation paper. For actual jobs, look in the soil projects section. |
